How To Optimize Your Google AdWords Campaign For Best Click Through Rate

How much money can you make with Google AdSense? You get paid every time someone clicks on one of the advertisements that are displayed on your website. The more people that click on these ads, the more money you will get. But, if you just sit there and let all of the traffic come to you, then you are missing out on an opportunity. You have to go out and take advantage of this opportunity.

So how do you get leads when you place Google AdSense ads? First, you need to do some split tests to see where your traffic is coming from. The easiest way to do this is to visit several web sites that relate to your own landing page conversions.

These sites may be competitors or they may not be but they should still produce good quality click-through rate (CTR). To determine your CTR, you need to know how many people saw your ad and clicked on it. The higher the quality score of those who clicked on your ad, the higher your CTR. Quality score is a mathematical ratio that evaluates the number of people who saw your ad and actually clicked on it and the number of people who visited your landing page and got a return visitor.

By visiting at least three to four split tests and taking note of the results, you will know how many people clicked on your ads and got a return visitor and how many didn’t click on the ads at all. Knowing this information, you can then refine your new ads. The goal is to get as close to 1% CTR as possible. That’s not easy to do in a short amount of time. In order to get it done effectively, you have to use new ads with very similar copy. With split tests, you can quickly find out what ad copy converts best.

Now, let’s take a look at an example of how an electrician can use Google AdWords. A good ad campaign starts with very low traffic, with little or no sales conversions. You want people to see your ad and go to your landing page to learn more about what you do. With a low traffic campaign, your conversion rates are going to be very low. You may be able to get a couple of leads, but your conversion rates on these leads will probably be near zero. In this case, you would want to start a new ad campaign with higher traffic, like say, one hundred leads, and put in your keywords in phrases with high search volume.

An ad campaign in this scenario will bring you a lot of sales conversions, but with lower traffic. Your conversion rate on this campaign will be much higher than the ads with minimal traffic. It will take awhile, but with a little research, you should be able to identify keywords with high search volume. You then put together an ad group. You want to make sure that your keyword and your ad group are placed in the top three or four ads on the first page. To make sure you are getting a high enough ranking, you should run some split testing on ad groups.

There is another thing to consider. Google will be placing your ads in the same place that your customers are going to be looking for you. If your keywords aren’t converting, it may be because your landing pages are boring, and you haven’t optimized them well. If you have high quality score keywords and you don’t have any ads on the first page of Google with good click-through rates, you are bound to be in trouble.

The last thing I will discuss here is the concept of having two ads in your ad group. Let’s say you have a YouTube ads group, and a Google ad’s group. You might decide to put up a YouTube ad campaign, with ads that are direct linking back to your website. You can also run some split test ads with your Google AdWords campaign to see which one converts better. If you use the information you gained from this article, you can improve your AdSense ad campaign and increase your click through rate.
